We are a a beautiful coastal farm in the wilds of West Cork situated on the Wild Atlantic Way. We are closely situated to the picturesque village of Crookhaven and Goleen. We have sheep on the farm, mostly for grazing the land.
There are some 12th century ruins of a castle overlooking the Atlantic ocean and these make for a popular destination with tourists, walkers etc. We saw an opening in the local area for a cafe about 3 years ago and decided to open one on the farm for the Summer months. The cafe opens from the beginning of July to the end of August. We serve fresh, homemade produce seven days a week for eight weeks.
We would be looking for a couple or two friends to come and work for us(preferably for the full eight weeks). They would be required to have good interpersonal skills and have some experience of working in the hospitality sector. The cafe opens from 12 to 6 everyday. They would be mostly working in the cafe, however they would also be required to do some outdoor work on the farm from time to time.
Volunteers will have their own accommodation with a kitchen/ living room, bathroom and shared bedroom. Their hosts will provide them with food and will expect them to cook for themselves mostly. There are also bicycles available for volunteers to use.

It is a warm, welcoming environment to work in and offers volunteers the opportunity to explore the beautiful coast of West Cork and meet some wonderful people along the way.
