Hey guys,
No one ever has lived on this piece of land before we`ve purchased it and we developing the land from scratch, so you could call us pioneers ;)
The property is 20acres and half of it is covered with beautiful native bush with a huge variety of native trees like Totara, Kaekatea, Matai, Rimu to name a few. The other half is mostly pines (weeds!) we are taking out at the moment and replacing them with natives. We also going to establish an orchard (fruits, nuts etc) and veggie gardens (all organic!) and have to build many structures, mostly earth buildings.
There is a stream and a decent size waterfall on our land also. The water we using comes from our clean spring. We are totally off the grid, producing our own power. We`ve got showers and composting toilets in place.
So far it`s 5 of us on the land. My wife Ragna, our son Samson, our other son Maximilian, Hokee the cat and me, Alex :)
There are so many projects going on right now and we could need anybody with a good skill set or just helping hands... A couple would be great too.
Bring your own accommodation (van/campervan/tent) as we still have to build solid accommodation.
Next on the list is a hexagonal structure we call our communal space/kitchen...
Feel welcome to be part of this awesome journey!
By the way, we are vegetarians :)
Hope this gave you an insight of what`s going on at our place right now.
Looking forward to host you,
Ragna, Alex, the kids and Hokeč

Update: Right now I`m working on the big task of clearing the land from pines and starting to plant an orchard/veggie gardens. To achieve that I need one or two helpers to work with me. Branches need to be chipped and bonfires be lit. So lots of fun too tho :)
We also gotta start building our communal space (hexagonal earth building). So if you wanna help with that, great ;)
I will also need helpers with planting our organic orchard/food forest...

WE ARE LOOKING FOR HELPERS IN DECEMBER 2018/JANUARY 2019

We are going to establish a NY Event here at Kaukau a Tara Organics (30th of Dec until 2nd of Jan)
As we are not doing for profit we will need you, the helpers to prepare (at least a week prior to the event) and also for the event itself to work with our key-people in food preparation, recycling, security etc. (around 10 helpers needed)
I also need help right now as we have to start to build more infrastructure.
I can guaranty you this! The party will be a "once in a lifetime" experience :)
If this sounds like you flick me a txt or email to get more detail on this.

If you up for any of this flick me a txt or email.
Cheers,
Alex
