*** Spring is here and we need help in the garden, preparing the gites and building work. Also our dog Lily needs taking for a walk! *****

Me and Helen are an English couple in our 50s living in Le Moulin, a renovated 18th century watermill near Carcassonne in the south of France.
Over the past 10 years we have renovated the building, built three gites, a swimming pool, started a gite rental business and a small English language school catering mainly for local children.
We have about two acres of land which, bit by bit, we are transforming into a garden.
We have a lot of ideas about how to take the project forward so the building and garden work are ongoing.
However it is a lot of work so we need a bit of help!
We were thinking that a single person or couple could stay in our spare bedroom or one of our gites with food and utilities provided by us in exchange for about 25 hours work a week per person.
The work would be mainly gardening, building and work around the house, so experience of any of those areas would be great.
However enthusiasm is more important than experience as we can show you what we do.
We were thinking of an initial stay of one or two weeks extending to longer depending on circumstances.
Our village, Villegailhenc, has a year-round bus service into Carcassonne (7km) which costs 1 euro. Carcassonne station has direct links to Toulouse, Narbonne, Marseille and Quillan towards the Pyrenees. We are about 3 hour drive from Andorra and Barcelona. Carcassonne airport has direct links to Stansted, Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, East Midlands, Charleroi in Belgium amongst others.
We have bikes, BBQ equipment, a trampoline, wifi, a supermarket and a boulangerie within 5 mins walk.
