We live in a beautiful area of woods and orchards and we decided to create an eco camp here. We have a site which we are slowly with great help of volunteers transforming into a camping site. Right now we need help with constructing the basics as composting toilets, bathrooms and kitchen which will go to Root Zone Waste Water Treatment system.
Since July there is EVS volunteer Bastien and in August we welcomed Marie, they both came for a year and they are a great help in our team.
Our aim is to promote a sustainable way of traveling and life.
We own also an organic farm with sheep, bees, orchard and a garden, where you can help us too with milking, making cheese or garden work.
We ask our helpers to work 30 hours a week in exchange they get three meals a day and accommodation. You will be accommodated at the farm in a caravan with running water and electricity. During warm seasons we usually use our outside kitchen. You can eat with us, cook for us or get money to cook for yourself. We are open for vegetarians, it can be more difficult for vegans because we are a sheep farm therefor we often cook with sheep milk and cheese. We are trying to eat as local and seasonal as possible.
Valec is a small remote village with few active young people. Every Wednesday we have community dinner with movie screening and we organize several music or traveling festivals.
Photos: first three pictures are from EKOcamp, the next two are are the farm - outside kitchen and caravan with yurt and the last one is our Valec castle.
