We (Tom and Shaye) are in the early stages of developing a permaculture based mini community (approximately 4-5 families eventually). We've already completed a strawbale cottage and a tiny house... and we're partway through building a main strawbale house which will be the largest building on the property. There's also the beginnings of a food forest here. The land is set in beautiful bushy Oratia. It's quiet here. There's lots of birds and tree's and it's a great place to be with nature.

I (Tom) am looking for help for a short period of time (from the 30th Jan to the 9th Feb) building a tiny house on a trailer. Previous building experience would be perfect although not an absolute necessity. The project is on a fairly tight schedule because I have to get it finished before my feldenkrais training program starts. So we'll be working full days. I will be working alongside you. I could probably use help from 1 or 2 people.

Accommodation will be inside the main strawbale house where I live. There are 2 single beds available for helpers. The bathroom is currently an outdoor composting bucket toilet and an outdoor firebath. Or, if you're up for it, a cold hose... I may have hooked up a temporary warm shower by then if you're lucky ;)
