HELP! We need a helper to sort out our garden for us and make it winter ready. No heavy work, just weeding, cutting back bushes, get rid of leaves, clean the veggie patch and general light garden stuff. The garden is not even that big, but our lives are so busy these days that we just canít find the time to do it ourselves, so we would love a helper for about a week Some time after the 5th of June. It should be a pretty easy stay, with light work, good food and company. We are a Kiwi-German-Italian family of 4 and two original Kiwi cats at the very edge of Palmerston North overlooking the Manawatu River. Palmerston North is halfway between Wellington and the Central Plateau Volcanos (Tongariro), and can be easily reached by Intercity Bus or Naked/Mana Bus. We have a pretty luxurious downstairs bedroom with a comfortable double bed and its very own modern en-suite bathroom. The area is great for running, walking and cycling along the river just behind our garden fence, or to enjoy the benefits of a larger town, eg cinema, theatre, restaurants, shopping etc. We have bikes you could borrow and there is a bus stop only about 5 min walk away that will take you straight into the city centre about 5km away. There is some amazing tramping in the area, in the Manawatu Gorge and the Tararuas to name but two areas. We also offer free wifi. We expect 3-4 hours work per day in return for accommodation and full board. We look forward to meeting new friends from all over the world! Those who work "hard" may even be rewarded with Hubby's national award winning home brewed beer... :-) Iím sorry but we can not cater for vegans.
