We currently do not need any help. Thank you for your interest!

Hello everyone,
the old factorysite we live in is next to Berlin (45 minutes to town center by bicycle and train). Surrounded by beautiful biotops (old beech stands, rivers, lakes), and a river flowing across the factorysite, it is the beautifull cross-over of 19th century industrialization and nature.

In total, there are approximately 50 people living there. Communitylife includes projects in organic gardening, building of infrastructure (like compost toilets, children playground, party area), as well as social get-togethers such as pizza-evenings, jam sessions, sauna and parties.

Our little family consists of three members (2 grown-ups and a child of 3 years). We are studying in the University of Sustainable Development in Eberswalde (International Forest Ecosystem Management). Since we moved to Spechthausen 2 years ago we were building up our trailer and creating our permaculture garden. (Pictures will be uploaded in the next days)

Right now, we need your help for the creation of facilites inside of our wintergarden, which is supposed to provide proper access to necessary basic facilites for all people who live in trailers.
Further, we intend to build up a biomeiler. (You compost green wood chippings in a large pile, the so called Meiler. The resulting warmth of the composting process (over 70C) is derived from a tube coiled inside the meiler which heats the water running through it. Eventually one is left with finest compost loaded with effective microorganisms.)

Our idea would be to split the week in 2 parts - one part working, one part leisure -, this way you will benefit of your free time the most, we could also show you around a little in Berlin, if you don't know where to go.

If you are interested in helping out, give us a message.
