***UPDATE*** We are currently doing some renovations to our homestead and need some help with painting and gardening. We would love to have 2-4 enthusiastic volunteers to stay for a couple of weeks to help us put the finishing touches on the place.

We are a young family, living on a beautiful remote coastal property 40 kms north of Kaikoura. We are currently seeking helpers to stay in our large homestead to maintain the grounds and the house itself. This would be ideal for a couple or a couple of friends. We will provide a large spacious bedroom (or twwo if required) and private lounge area, linen towels etc in return for assistance in maintaining the property. Two other workers live in the homestead and the kitchen and bathrooms will be shared with them. It's a huge place so there is heaps of space for all. We live in another cottage on the farm, just down the drive. Food will be provided, much of which we produce ourselves although we need people who are able to cook for themselves. Fresh goat milk is available if helpers are interested in hand milking one of our does. On the property we have a small scale commercial avocado and citrus orchard which we are currently converting to organic. This stretch of coast has lots to offer travellers, there is a lovely swimming beach 10 minutes down the road, surf casting across the road, surfing another 25 minutes away towards Kaikoura and heaps of hikes around our farm. As we live quite far from the nearest town we recommend that volunteers have their own transport.
