We are a mountain lodge situated 35 km from Lillehammer. The lodge is placed close to Hornsjoen (in Norwegian: The Beautiful Lake) at 883 meters altitude. In the wintertime it is a popular ski destination for cross country skiing, in the summertime it is a beloved starting point for trekking and cycling in the mountains.

You will help our international staff with all manners of lodge maintenance work from cooking and cleaning to various types of ad-hoc work and most importantly looking after our guests. You will be compensated with free accommodation and food in addition to interact and spending time with other volunteers from all over the world.

You will live in one of the school student rooms with your own shower and toilet. The rooms are around 8-14 m2. You have access to the schools kitchen, dinning room, swimming pool, sauna and library (which is often used as a relaxing room and film room in the afternoons/evenings).

You will be in an international environment meeting people from all over the world. The lodge is also closely connected to a school that prepares volunteers for humanitarian projects in Africa and India. You will be interacting with the students and teachers of the school on a daily basis. You will learn basic reception work, cleaning, cooking, maintenance and ad-hoc outdoors work to serving our guests in the cafe and restaurant.
