Hello wonderful Helpers!

We are Caitlin and Sanji, both in our early 30s. We have been helpx volunteers for many years and now finally have a property of our own to develop with all the great things we have learnt along the way.

It is a small fully planted section that we want to gradually transform into a permaculture food forest and micro nursery.

We are looking for travelers willing to help in exchange for accommodation. Preference given to radicals/anarchists/activists/pacifists. Or just people with some life experience and great travel stories!

We are positioned right on the edge of Dunedin city so walking to the center of town would take about 15 mins and we have bikes you can borrow.

The tasks we need help with are planting, mulching, clearing and pruning.

We propagate edible plants and so can show you how to grow fruit trees from cuttings if you are interested.

We can also if you are interested make tempeh, home brew cider, and vegan cheese.

We have three beehives, and so there is always beekeeping tasks if you want to learn about bees.

There are also dreams of installing a pico hydro pump as turbine system, putting the fire on wet back and greenhouse building projects. So if you have any skills in these areas would be great.
We would also be open to people working on projects of their own design that benefit the place.

We would ask no more than 3 hours help a day (unless we are having fun) for 5 days a week in exchange for accommodation and some food. We are chilled out people and having been "wwoofers" and travelers ourselves we understand what it's like to be on the road and will not make you feel like slaves and will be working along side you.

Their may be the opportunity to come along to some Dunedin parties and events with us too if you are interested.

We want to learn from you also so if you have any cool skills or knowledge we would love to meet you.
