We are a farm in Co.meath, Ireland. We breed alpacas, goats, sheep, wild boar, iron age pigs, old spot glouster pigs, chickens, pheasants, geese, turkeys and rhea.
We are in the middle of getting a poly tunnel to grow our own fruit and veg.
We will also have a veg garden.
We also have bee hives on site. Next to the bee hives I have a young orchard with 48 fruit trees.
Tasks that we would like help with on the farm are:
Collecting alpaca dung to keep paddocks clean
Help with veg garden
Help with building animal runs
Walking the dogs
I am sure ad-hoc jobs may arise.
I am flexible with the time for helping. Maybe a few hours a day or 2 full days (light work) 3 days off. But we can work something out.
Meat eaters would be preferable as I have a lot of meat to get through on the freezer. Haha I am only joking. Vegetarians are welcome too as long as you realise that this is a working farm that produces meat on a small scale.
We live a few KM from the town but I can give you a lift in to town or you can borrow bikes either.
If you like fishing, the river Boyne is near by and has great fishing in it.
There are water sports in trim also.
There are connecting buses to Dublin city from the town.
I am sure I have forgotten to mention something but I'll add it later.
