**LATEST UPDATE** Now looking for HelpXers between now and June - sorry, no space between July and September! In the spring it's mainly work outside, with a mix of brush-cutting, weeding, pruning, general gardening tasks, with a little interior decoration.

We spend much of the year in Asia, but I am back in our beautiful 18th century farmhouse in rural Provence, at the foot of the Mont Ventoux to prepare things for summer rentals. Plenty of gardening to do throughout the year, as well as rebuilding an old stone-walled pond fed by our slightly sulphurous spring (hence the name of the farm, 'L'Eau Salée'). It will be a lovely feature once it is restored. Other major projects include renovating an ancient well. Inside the property there is some painting and general upkeep to do, when the weather is less pleasant outside (pretty rare in this part of Provence)...

We're close to the Roman town of Vaison (7km) and Malaucène (3km), so although there are no other houses in sight, all amenities are within easy reach. Helpers can borrow a bike to visit the area, although you need to be pretty fit to ride to the summit of the Mont Ventoux, 24 kms away but a 1,700m climb from our home at 330m!

The accommodation is in a couple of independent apartments each with en-suite double bedrooms in annexes to the main house, with log-burner, wifi internet access. Ideal for couples.

Meals 'en famille', occasionally self-catering (all ingredients and excellent local Côte du Rhône wines provided), everyone chipping in to help with the cooking.

This is a beautiful and unspoilt area of Provence, a hiking and cycling paradise, yet only a short drive to lovely old towns such as Avignon, Orange, and Vaison.
