I am feeling quite disappointed with the government rules on working visas as helpers don't seem willing to come visit my beautiful property. The weather has been absolutely fantastic this autumn.I have had 1 helper since Xmas. I am in need of 2 helpers with the grounds maintence. You will stay in the main house with your own bedroom and shower, meals will be prepeared together. I prefer to have at least 2 people at a time. Now is a great time for Australian emu's, kangaroo's and wallabies to be seen in the wild. This property was a commerical trout farm, it was burnt out in the 2003 bush fires. We purchaced the property in Febuary 2007 over run with blackberries and tree suckers. Property has double creek frontage. The pristine Nariel Creek is the main creek. We are in the process of cleaning up the blackberries, dead trees along the banks of the creek to gain access to fish for trout, swimming, canoeing, gold paning and spying the odd platypus. The property is surrounded by crown land with available opporturities to see wild deer, wild dogs, rabbits etc.Spring time there are lots of native wild flowers to be seen. There is a sealed road to the front gate with opportunities for bike riding, bush walking, bird watching. We are growing some of our own vegeies organically. There are a few fruit trees. The best months to come are from September to April.April is an exciting time for this area with The Man From Snowy River Bush Festival. Winter can be cold and frosty there is still plenty of work to do though. I have 2 horses and 2 dog for company. The property consists of a 2 bedroom cottage providing holiday accommodation a toilet and shower block for those who choose to camp. There is also the opportunity to see Australian Snowy Hydro Scheme and to go rafting with Rafting Australia and 4x4 driving in this area of beautiful Australia on days off.
