URGENT: Help needed on friendly Hampshire family farm

We have a family wedding on 17th July and need help to paint the windows and tidy the farm yard and clear away an old barn. Possible help needed with haymaking in June.

A cycle ride away from Stockbridge and a 10 minute drive (or bus ride) from Winchester, New Farm, King’s Somborne, is nestled in idyllic rural Hampshire. We are a farming family (Mum, Dad, daughter 26 and her boyfriend 28) on a busy farm of 650 acres. We farm Angus cattle for beef and have 9000 free range chickens. We also have horses and a dog called Daisy. You would be living with the family and eating delicious home-cooked meals together. We can cater for vegetarians. You would have your own bedroom in the farmhouse or you could share if preferred with access to all facilities – Wi-fi, washing machine etc. You can borrow bicycles to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and we are happy to give you lifts to local areas of interest during your time-off.

We would like volunteers to work 4 – 5 hrs a day, 5 days a week. We are excited by the prospect of meeting people from different cultures and learning more about you!

Katie is a yoga teacher and is happy to teach anyone yoga. Jacky is keen to help volunteers with their English. John is a wealth of knowledge on ‘all things farming’ so anyone with an interest in farming can learn from him.
