I am an Artist that has been faced with some health issues and from time to time need help in taking care of the farm, and keeping up with feeding the animals etc. I from time to to time may need help myself if I am ill ( this is rare) I spend most of my time in the pottery studio, and could use a hand with on going art projects. There is a private, detached apartment with a beautiful view I am in a very beautiful and very rural area, but do have high speed access to internet,The farm is located in the ancient foothills of the Appalachian mountains I was dedicated to providing a haven for artists to find the space and the peace to pursue and create their art in a natural, holistic setting which encourages individuality as well as interactivity. A unique endeavor artists retreat has the facilities to offer an individual the time, space and utilities to pursue their own dream while also allowing them the opportunity to contribute to the greater vision of expanding this creative oasis.

Located in the former hill lands of the Adena tribes, just some 20 miles south of the glittering Ohio River, our place sits surrounded by lush fields on a knoll amid mighty hills that serve as it's shelter. Spectacular sunsets and dazzling winter snows are among many other natural wonders of this land. Most striking however is something which is unspoken, and yet felt by so many who have sojourned here -And that is a sense of magic, and deep peace which seems to resonate from the very land itself. An archaic energy vibration that seems to urge both relaxation and creativity. The sound of wind chimes and the occasional cries of hawks sailing on the thermals over the deep valleys below are the only sounds to be encountered save for the occasional breeze ruffling the trees.

High on Eight Mile Ridge just west of the small town of Reader, West Virginia we provide a large indoor studio for sculptors, painters, musicians and writers, as well as many other creative ambitions. Pottery wheels and Kilns are already in place with larger outdoor kilns currently under construction. One on-site apartment is near completion with three more in the works so that artists may reside on site and pursue their projects without distraction.

Horses, cats and dogs are among the domesticated wildlife, with deer, ducks, wild turkey, and coyote often making surprising appearances across the landscape. Also a prime spot for bird watchers, this is an evolving community whose vision includes expansion to even more advanced facilities in the future. The hammocks, the large deck and pond with it's own dock provide an atmosphere which is almost the antithesis of the fast paced, deadline laden corporate world. Here in these secluded hills and mountains the clock is not anyone's overseer, and creativity can be born with the peace and nourishment required to create a dream original and challenging.

We're sure that once you experience the pristine energy and landscape of this magical retreat you'll feel encouraged to create your best works of art yet.

This is where the zeitgeist comes to replenish it's spirit, sacred to native tribes in centuries past, and sacred now to tribes of artists from around the world.
