Hello my name is Angela and I am the person searching for someone suitable to take the following position and opportunity.

There is a beautiful property 40 minutes North of Hobart that requires a lovely person (mature female preferred) to live and work on the property. Lee is a severely physically disabled quadriplegic man requiring care and he and his father are offering two different scenarios.

First scenario is a lovely self-contained accommodation, next to the main house. It is fully renovated, one-bedroom, completely private bathroom and kitchen facilities.

Second scenario is a nice private bedroom inside the main house, shared bathroom and shared kitchen (toilet and bathroom will mostly be yours except for occasional use by other carers).

The property is 20 acres, mostly paddocks but around the house is a couple of acres with amazing gardens and water features. There are sheep, chickens, and a cat called Sophie!

They are looking for someone more long-term, minimum one month if possible. They may be able to cater for a couple of weeks but more long-term is preferred.

Besides your daily hours of volunteering indoors with domestic duties and outdoors with general yard maintenance, there is an option for you to earn $26 per hour if you are happy to train and become one of Lee’s carers.

He has a team of carers who come and go but one of them has recently moved on. Caring experience or certificates is not necessary as long as you are happy to be trained in all areas, hands-on as well as documentation to help you learn. You must be permitted to work in Australia.

Lee lives with his father John. They need someone with a warm heart and someone who is happy to be of assistance whenever required. There is no age limit, no preferences on culture, simply seeking someone who wants to be there for them.

Lee is a very patient, positive, happy and ambitious man who enjoys music and movies, loves cooking and learning about other people’s culture.

Please contact for further information. Happy to answer all questions. Thank you.
