I am from NYC. I needed a change, a big change. After selling my small home I took a leap of faith and moved to Belize, looking for paradise to build a small "boutique" hotel out of shipping containers.
I am making a five 40' container Guest Suites. Two are 48'x8' with ensuite Indoor/Outdoor bathrooms, sunrise over the sea and sunset over the mountain views. One is 40'x8' and one 24'x8' with the same, sans the outdoor shower. Lastly a 25'x8' w/prvt. bth and 15'x8' w/shared bth. One 40'x8' container pool. 200 steps from the warm Caribbean Sea,

It will definitely be a show place in the small fishing town of Hopkins, Belize!

Did I mention this will be the VERY FIRST 2 Story Shipping Container Home/Guest house ever built in Belize?

Although 2/3rds done, I only have the veranda, walkway and stairs that still needs doing, as far as the construction is concerned anyway. The rest is welding and boy-oh-boy is there a lot of it! I bought a beautiful plasma cutter and am having the door and window gates actually cut out of the walls. The "cuts" will be graphic and blend into the wall nicely. The biggest hurdle at this point, is building doors and windows!

Room with toilet, internet, extension cord for electric, use of hot plate and refrigerator and beach for endless enjoyment (sorry no food $)Rooms can be private, I have 5 empty containers. I have 2xtra queen mattresses and a hammock (leave your valuables locked inside and swing in the night breeze on the deck) 5-6hrs a day work, 5-6 days a week.
I need people only with experience or a strong extra pair of hands and a brain in the following.
-Concrete work
-web design
-web promotion
- painting
-furniture making
Belize is a country full of incredible history and beauty. My town is filled with Garifuna Culture, the sounds of drumming and festivity is rare only when it cant be heard. Fishing, glowing stalagmites, zip lining, bird/wildlife watching, snorkeling, boat trips to to beautiful islands...the list goes on. Hopkins is a Village of around 2,000. There is usually live drumming, somewhere at least 3 nights a week. Good bar scene and great food!
