CAIRNGORMS NATIONAL PARK - NETHY BRIDGE A stunningly lovely woodland 6 acre/ 2 hectare homestead supporting an 8 bed families/groups hostel, 3 bespoke eco huts, summer lightweight camping - 4 pitches

SEPTEMBER 2018 UPDATE

Thanks everyone. WE HAVE NOW FILLED the unexpected IMMEDIATE VOLUNTEER HELPER VACANCY for September & October.

Three and four month stay skilled and seasoned volunteer helpers interested both in bringing their skills and learning more about eco tourism on the rustic side are now booked to be with us until March 2019.

FOLLOWING THAT IN EITHER MARCH OR MAY, 2019 WE WILL WELCOME again, A SINGLE OR COUPLE, non smokers please, with some real relevant skills but who are committed to extending their experience in our kind of hospitality. This is hardly a 'bums on beds' place. Far from it; look us up and read on.

We invite you: Jump into joining this great local and international Team of eight folk. As well as caring for the livestock we provide a popular 8 bed families/groups bunkhouse, small scale lightweight camping ground and 3 separately located bespoke eco hutting experiences for up to 25 guests.

Live with us in a sustainable six acre homestead amongst rare breed Soay sheep, hens & ducks surrounded by ancient Caledonian Pine Forest and looking to the Cairngorm mountains. We are no party hostel; our mantra is "Been Active? Come Home to Slow Living" and folk do just that. We are 20 bus minutes from Aviemore, 90 bus minutes from Inverness & a 3.5 hours coach or train journey from Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Our Team welcomes lively, dependable and skilled Volunteer Helpers, happy to engage in all indoor and outdoor tasks and particularly those folk who can bring a smile to the faces of our guests. Specialist hospitality interns and Erasmus students looking to us for an example of good practice most welcome.

At 25 hours a week with two clear days off you would have your own free and independent accommodation, a generous weekly food allowance and a bike to get you to the village centre, shop, farm shop, great cafe and pub five minutes down the road. Lots happens round here. If you would be available to accept paid work over and above your volunteering time then please tell us.

Have a look for our website, see our diverse family of over 100 former Helpers and then, if you like the idea, do be in touch.

from 3 times Volunteer Helper, Aleix "......... Last thing I want to say is give a very big thank you to David and Valery for the astonishing project they build, their way of being so attentive, creative and motivating. Thanks to let me take part of the Lazy Duck for three times and all the experiences, stories, people met and awesome and emotive goodbyes I had.

For auld lang syne, Slàinte mhath!

Aleix Guasch
Tarragona 2018"
