We are one of the biggest language schools in Ukraine. We teach 10 languages.
Our school building has 4 floors. On the 1st floor we have a reception and café, on the 2nd and 3rd floor we have classrooms (about 14 classrooms) and on the 4th floor there are rooms for volunteers.
We need people that can teach their native language:
- Japanese (only experienced teachers)
- Chinese (only experienced teachers)
- Italian (only experienced teachers)
- have teaching experience in their native language, who know how to teach, and who understand their native language's grammar and can explain it to our students.
- have highly developed communication skills. The majority of lessons that you will run will be conversation lessons, so you need to be able to involve EVERY student in the conversation and make it interesting for everybody.
P.S. If you do not have teaching experience, but you feel like you are the right kind of person and you can handle the challenge, our door is open to you ?? Some of our best volunteers have been people without any teaching experience but with a desire to learn how to teach and interact with students.
We offer Russian or Ukrainian lessons in exchange, you may also choose any of the non-local languages taught at our school (Spanish, Arabic, German, Chinese etc). Khelministky is a primarily Ukrainian speaking city, though everyone speaks Russian and many speak it as a first language.
The amount of lessons you can take depends on your schedule (how many lessons you run).
When you teach
6-7 lessons a week you have 1 lesson
8-11 lessons a week you have 2 lessons
12-15 lessons a week you have 3 lessons a week studying.
RULES FOR VOLUNTEERS AND RESIDENTS
We take pride in our School and its cleanliness for our customers, staff and other volunteers. We expect that you keep our school and accommodations clean, this includes washing dishes right away after cooking and eating. You will share the kitchen and common area with other volunteers, so we demand that you keep everything clean to be considerate of everyone. You will also be expected not to make noise after 10 pm (no loud music or movies or drinking and shouting, no parties). If you cannot abide by these rules you will be asked to leave.
