We are a semi-retired couple who love our idyllic life in the peaceful country-side in north Taranaki with sea and mountain views. Our rural paradise is 20 minutes to the airport and the Valley Shopping Centre and Surf beaches and Mount Taranaki is a short drive away.

Please note, at this stage of our development we are only able to host 1-2 people or a couple with their own sleeping accommodation eg: camper van. Bathroom facilities available. Meals provided in exchange for approx 4 hours work. Limited wifi. Can cater for vegetarians.

There is always plenty to do on our 1-acre lifestyle block from developing our boutique organic gardens, tending to the productive areas already established and the many varieties of vegetables, fruit and herbs planted into every available space. You will learn so much from Phill as he has years of experience and is enthuiastic about sharing his organic growing and gardening knowledge with anyone who is interested.

Activities may include indoor and outdoor painting tasks, tree pruning, harvesting, clearing overgrown areas, composting, home maintenance, sharing meal preparation and cooking, small construction projects as required, eg: simple wooden garden structures, occasional house-sitting, etc.

Our place offers a variety of experiences and we encourage your involvement in the many events we support such as local Landgirl events and will ensure you get time out to visit the many attractions in our beautiful city throughout the year eg: Hiking tracks, Len Lye Art Gallery, Te Rewa Rewa Bridge, Festival of Arts (August), WOMAD (March), Pukekura Park/Concerts, Festival of Lights (December-February), Markets....and much more.
