Welcome to the site of the first and only HelpX organic farm in all of El Salvador! this botanical compound is blooming year round right in the heart of the El Salvador's most important agricultural area. The house is surrounded by rivers, mountains, lakes, and even volcanoes! We are looking for volunteers from all across the globe to come here and enjoy the beautiful experience that we cherish every day.

Our mission here is to teach the local children the wonders of organic farming and sustainable lifestyle. Come and share your talents with us, the children, and the other travelers stopping through. Our organic country house (Quinta ecologica) empowers the kids to create environmental solutions in construction, utilizing recycled and organic materials (old tires, trash bottles, rocks, old wood, bamboo, etc.) We are working with the community to promote responsible land and resource management through environmental education, while teaching them English and computer skills.

At the house we offer dorms, hammocks and camping spots. We have running water and toilets, tropical showers, communal kitchen, and an out door brick oven onsite. We offer our volunteers internship opportunities as well as affordable Spanish, French & English classes with Gloria, our in-house linguistics professor.

We also offer trips to waterfalls, lagoons, volcanoes, archaeological tours (Ruinas de San Andres, Joya de Ceren y ruinas de Tazumal), rock climbing lessons, biking trips, yoga classes, homemade organic products for purchase (bread, pizza, chocolate, jams, candy, cheese) and more! Discover over 20 different tropical fruits, which you can learn how to pick straight from the tree, and almost as many vegetables blooming year round! Experience cooking from the garden to your plate.

We ask volunteers for an $12 per day donation to help fund our school and garden. We will provide you 3 vegetarian meals per day included in that price. If you stay for more than a week, it is only $8 per night with meals included.

To get here: Take the bus to Santa Ana and stop at San Andres Ruins. Please give us a call before arriving and we will have someone pick you up.
