Hello\Bonjour! My husband and I (late 40's) came to Vancouver Island about a year ago from the mainland and we are LOVING this area!
Aside from farming and working at our jobs, we enjoy the nearby hikes, swimming in the rivers and ocean and doing winter sports up at Mt Washington. This area has so much to offer for nature lovers plus the town of Courtenay is just 15 minutes away for all your shopping and entertainment needs! We are a new developing farm in the Merville area focusing on growing organic vegetables and fruits (non certified) as well as herbs and flowers. We also keep a small flock of sheep for meat and wool as well as some egg layers and meat birds (future). We would love to share our experience with somebody who is passionate about farming, has a positive growth mindset and who wants to learn and contribute to our small operation. Work varies daily so you can learn the many different aspects of farming. We would be happy with a few hours of help most days but we are flexible and want you to enjoy the area as well!

Our contribution:
Simple accommodation in a temporary shelter with access to outhouse and outdoor shower.
Wifi-on the property
Meals made of food from the farm including some meat (lamb, mutton or other protein source)

If living and working on a farm sounds like the lifestyle you want, please contact me.
