Sometimes it's hard to admit when, with all your good intentions and all the work you do, you will not succeed alone. And maybe you do not even have to make it alone, maybe together things will not go only faster but better. So, help!
What are my intentions?
To build an earthbag house.
To build a bath house.
To build a summer kitchen.
To start a raisedbed garden.
To build a small green house.
To bring water from the forest spring.
To organize a nature summer camp for kids.
What do I need?
Volunteers eager to build, with or without experience in building with natural materials. Together we will learn how to build a house with minimal impact to the environment.
Volunteers that know something about gardening, raisedbeds, permaculture and greenhouses will be my teachers, since I do not know much about growing.
Volunteers who are good with horses. If you want to work with one I expect you with arms open. Orban, the horse, sure will be delighted.
Volunteers with artistic spirit. If you have a musical instrument that always accompanies you, if you are an artist who wants to leave a mark on a house or nature, if you are good at filming or photography, you are welcome.
Voluntears with cooking skils. Although I know how to cook, I am aware that I will not be able to build, organize summer camps and cook for everyone. A helping hand in the kitchen is a delight.
What can I offer you?
A clean and quiet place in nature in a tent. The camping area on my land will have dry compost toilets, water and showers.
An outlet to charge your phone, internet access.
A place to eat with everyone. Most often a lacto-vegetarian diet. But I'm open to new culinary experiences.
Everything I know about architecture and construction with natural materials. We can learn from each other and any idea will be encouraged and integrated accordingly.
Everything I know about being a volunteer in Romania, about living beyond the limits and comfort of the city, about the diversity of Romanian culture through the experience of many locations in Romania where I lived.
Why to be involved as a volunteer?
For the pleasure of building differently.
For the pleasure of living in nature.
For the pleasure of learning and teaching others.
For the pleasure of discovering new people.
For the pleasure of new cultural experiences.
For the enjoyment of new life experiences.
For the ability to apply what you have learned.
For the chance to gain confidence in you.
For the pride in seeing something done by you.
What i ask of you?
A sliping bag (one will not be provided for hygenical reasons. Tent and sleping mat is provided). I will camp in the same place in the same conditions.
To put 4 hours/day of work for at most 25 hours/week. you can work more a few days and then travel or explore the area.
No matter what you will be involved in i will like to have at least 5 hours/week dedicated for construction since i will like everyone to learn how a house like this can be build.
Respect for difference of opinion, religion, sex orientation or habbits.
There is not much I can offer you, but I promise it will be an unforgettable experience. Tell me when you want to be part of my project and for how long, what you are good at and how you want to get involved, and I will find a place for you. More details on the blog or the youtube channel.
I speak romanian, english, french and understand italian and maybe with some help from you the german that i forget.
