Spend wonderful moments in the most beautiful nature of Bucovina, Romania! We live in a fully equipped cottage suitable for self catering.

We provide food provisions and accommodation in exchange for help. There are lots of fun things to be done - mostly organizing/gardening/digging the ground/logging/painting/cleaning/cooking...

The property is 3300 sqm wide, with apple trees, plum trees, cherries trees, medlar trees, ginkgo trees, roses and many other various flowers...

You'll be accommodated in a cottage having two big bedrooms, bath with shower, hot water, kitchen accessorized with all the appliances - fridge, stove, oven, kitchenware.

We have Internet access and TV.
Vegans and vegetarians are welcome.
The property is children and pets friendly.
Smoking is allowed only outside the cottage.
All the food provisions are organic, from the villagers, as well as the fruits in our own garden.

The property is surrounded by beautiful spruce trees, the air is extremely pure and there are nice trails. The Voronet village is known by its monastery which is one of the famous painted monasteries of southern Bucovina, in Suceava County. The monastery was built by Stephen the Great in 1488 over a period of 3 months and 3 weeks and is often known as the "Sistine Chapel of the East"; the frescoes at Voronet feature an intense shade of blue known in Romania as "Voronet blue". Bucovina is famous for its old monasteries which you can visit once here. They are very close by.

Also, besides the monasteries, you can try the traditional food in the village, you can go hiking and pick mushrooms, berries and enjoy the beautiful wild nature around.

We are located in Voronet is the only place in the area where you can admire and take care of the Ginkgo Biloba trees, the oldest living beings on Earth, living fossils dating back to the dinosaur era. The Ginkgo Biloba tree is native to Japan and is an easily recognizable tree with a crown in the shape of a pagoda roof - hence the name "pagoda tree." Ginkgo Biloba is also called the Tree of God or the Holy Tree of Life.

We can arrange to pick you up from the airport in Suceava (which is the nearest) or in Bucharest. We speak English and French.

We look forward to greeting you here in Voronet to experience the authentic traditional country life in Bucovina, Romania!
