Hello travellers!
I run a campsite a bit north from the city Norrköping, I have been doing this since 2014 and worked together with travellers from all over the world for four years now. I love meeting new people and during the summer I could really use some helping hands, so several helpers are welcome! This is the perfect place for those who love nature and would like to experience the Swedish summer. The campsite is located at a lake and surrounded by forest, so it is the perfect location for those who like to go swimming, kayaking, hiking or cycling. We also have a little vegetable garden and some animals like goats and chicken.
I would like to welcome people from all ages and backgrounds, especially people who are independent, social and curious. Helpers with pets are welcome, as long as they do not bother the guests or other animals! Couples or friends are also welcome, but only in the beginning and end of the season. During the peak of the summer season I prefer individual travellers, because I have experienced that this is best for a fun group-dynamic. I like to see that everybody gets a long and hangs out together, during work time and also during free time.

Cultural Exchange and Learning Opportunities
This is a wonderful place to get to know other travellers and share languages and cultures. We also like to cook together and try each other’s favourite foods. At the same time you get the chance to get to know some Swedes, learn a bit of Swedish and experience summer in the most Swedish surrounding.

There are a lot of different things to do around here. So you do not need any special skills, as long as you are willing to work and learn. The main daily tasks are cleaning the toilets and shower rooms, checking up on our cabins and cooking (for guests and for ourselves). Other than that we can always use help in the vegetable garden or with mowing the grass (because there is lots of that). For those who like to do some carpentry, there are always possible projects. For example: previous travellers build a sauna, a pizza-oven and a cabin to change clothes down at the lake.
Working schedules are flexible, so your working hours might be spread over a day. But if you have any special plans or want a (part of a) day off, you can let me know and then I will schedule that in.

This is a big place with several sleeping spots. Of course you can bring your own tent, but you can also stay in a remodelled container (“the castle”), a caravan or a little red cabin (“the waffle-stuga). You can use the same bathroom facilities as the guests and I have towels, bedlinens and a washing machine available for you. In high season you probably have to share a room with another helper.

What else
The closest village with shops is about 10km away and the city of Norrköping about 20km. There is a train station there where somebody can pick you up and drop you off. At this station there also buses coming from and going to Stockholm’s airports.
