This is a family owned farmstay located in the lush Sigar Highlands, Malaysia, 15 mins from Cameron Highlands. We operate a humble highlands bed and breakfast farmstay with forest trekking, farm tour or activities for guests. Our lodge accommodation is basic, clean and comfortable with shared bathroom facilities and kitchen, library, lounge, open classroom spaces. We have camping grounds too.

In our humble beginnings, driven by a mission of sustainable living, we experimented with permaculture and natural farming at the lodge. Currently, the lodge food and flower gardens are maintained using organic and hydroponics methods (Safe Good Food) with our adjacent sister farm to our lodge. Food Forest Farm is a small-medium scale commercial farm producing various vegetables using organic and hydroponic methods. We do not use pesticides on our farm and lodge.

We host minimum 7-10 days and extensions are on case-by-case basis. Helpers normally will help with a combination of lodge and farm work, depending on requirement. Lodge work includes guest registration, hosting, housekeeping, cleaning and meal preparation kitchen duties, food processing (small scale for guests). Helpers also assist with up-keeping of the lodge facilities, maintenance, animal area, kitchen garden and nursery work. Farm work includes nursery and planting, harvest, sort and pack.

Special projects can also be assigned depending on your skillsets or assist with our ongoing projects at lodge. (See Projects below)

We look for independent and passion driven helpers who have good gardening, cooking, building, hospitality or social media/blogging/writing experience.

Helpers must maintain self-hygiene and cleanliness in their rooms and around the lodge at all times for the comfort of our guests. Helpers can stay in our staff rooms at the lodge and may occasionally be required to share rooms with helpers of same gender if insufficient rooms.

From past experiences, we DO NOT provide meals for Helpers due to various food preferences/allergies etc. Instead we provide a daily meal allowance and you are expected to prepare your own meals with your own ingredients. You can also request for free vegetables from our garden and farm.

Working hours and specifics will be sent once your request is approved.

Important : We have very limited internet connection and phone reception. Please be prepared to live off the grid.
We take in 1-3 max helpers at one go and our area is rural and off the beaten tracks.

Project Update:
We are currently looking for helpers who have the following skillset to assist us with the ongoing project.

1) Project MRL Food Garden : plan and grow a small kitchen garden with edible food - plan crops, use raise beds etc small composting, build a small garden shed for tools, develop a garden daily plan
