Beautiful, remote, rugged hill country sheep Station. Situated in the Central North Island. Surrounded by native forest. Million dollar views of Mt Taranaki, Mt Ruapehu, Mt Tongariro, and Mt Ngauruhoe (Mt Doom) and magnificent sunsets.

The type of jobs change through out the year, Sheep work in yards, docking, shearing (helping in wool shed) Fencing, firewood, processing fruit and veggies, gardening, and other maintenance jobs. Feeding animals -lambs, goats, deer, chickens etc and feeding out silage to cattle in winter. We have a good vege garden.
Most days are different, Not always a 4 hour day,Sometimes you will be actively helping and learning, and other days you will be watching and learning. You will be part of our family, our 7 ( 5 kids) along side Kevin's parents whom own and work the farm.
So you will live and share our life. Some days we work away from the house, as our farm is approx 14 km long, so you may not come home at midday.Your days will all be different, and there is a lot of opportunity for learning and doing new stuff

We love to be around people from other parts of the world, and learn and share with them, I often ask for new recipes from your home lands, and we love to learn about your country. Heather has traveled to multiple places, England, France, Kenya, Fiji, Australia etc, Kevin too has been to Malaysia.

We have unlimited free internet, but cell coverage is very weak. Most of your communication will have to be via the internet.

We can supply some gumboots, raincoats, and walking boots. But we recommend you bring your own boots, as they will fit better. We do have some old clothes for work wear as well.

If you smoke, we allow this out side only, not inside any buildings, and our preference is that it is not around the children.

We have had children in the past and have found that older children work in better with our situation.
No pets please.

If you have dietary requirements, like Gluten intolerance, dairy free or vegetarianism, then please bring the extras you may require. Our remoteness means we do not go to the shops very often.

Our remoteness means we are 1 hour from a town and supermarket, and 30 minutes from our local Village, which has a gas and grocery store, mail centre and cafes, along with accommodation, bars and restaurants.
Directions will be given on application, other wise there is bus and train services to National Park Village, where we will pick you up, as it coincides with the children's school run.

Our location offers you the Tongariro Crossing and other walks. Canoeing the Wanganui river, and numerous mountain bike trails.
We Are also in Cultural Exchange{Wwoof}for 5 yrs check our refs
