Volunteer experienced horse rider needed to help me train and ride up to 4 horses per day. This is a very unique learning opportunity. You will learn things like western horsemanship, ground work, western showing, starting young horses, hoof trimmimg, equine health plus much more. You will also help feed, water, fence, groom and care for all the horses. You need to really love working, training and riding horses because the days could be long. You must have good english, a mature attitude plus be highly motivated and energetic. This is not a paid position because there is so much provided in exchange. All meals, accommodation, horses, horse feed, tack, lessons, study materials and training facilities provided. Prefer 3 month minimum stay( but at the moment i have a vacancy from 1st sept to 30th nov 2017). The longer you stay the more you learn and the better experience you will have. We live in a slightly isolated quiet area being 80km from the nearest big town, but do live on the outskirts of a small town where we have a supermarket, chemist post office etc.
You will need to be capable and happy to work unsupervised.
I also have cats to look after.Like all aussie farmers we go to bed about 9pm and wake up at 6am. Should you need to sleep all day this position will not suit you.
