If you are looking to volunteer in a place close to the nature and modern environment, then this your opportunity to stay at one of the beautiful cities in central Vietnam, Danang. We are an Unschool with a team of local and overseas humans striving hard bring back the nature & child based education system.
We aim to create an authentic learning environment for local and international kids. Traditional schooling has narrowed their opportunities to practice the real life skills. Being the first Unschool in danang, we do our best to educate the kids to grew up with the dreams in focus. The traditional education systems are making humanoids but we fight hard to change the humanoids into humans.
Ideal volunteer should match any of the following but ENGLISH is mandatory
• Confident in the classroom/ love kids/ experienced in teaching
• Possess Multi skills like arts, crafts, swimming, dance, music, martial arts, etc. (ANY special skills is considered)
• Willing to do other tasks when assigned
Volunteers are required to help with:
• Educating kids (for 15 hours or more per week, 3 hours per day – 5 Weekdays)
• Helping local team members and management
• Cleaning the volunteer room (the day before you leave)
Classes are normally 60 mins in the morning and afternoon (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Mon - Fri)
SMOKING and DRINKING are not allowed during the school hours and near school premises.
This is a great immersion in the local culture which involves delicious local food, amazing natural sights and tourist attractions as well as hours of chatting and having fun with the locals.
Vinmarts and local market are within walking distance from the school with fresh, tasty and very cheap local fruits, vegetables, snack, desserts and many things else. Students and local teachers will be glad to accompany you for a fun and cultural discovering shopping tour. Please feel free to ask if you would like companions.
We can provide you a guide for local food. Again, it's a lot of fun to eat out with students and local teachers. Students and local teachers are often excited to teach you some basic Korean and Vietnamese if you are interested. Linguistic exchange sections are usually full of fun and laughter.
Shared air-conditioned room with private bed. Each room has two twin beds, TV with Netflix subscription, High-speed WiFI, Mini Bar, Etc. Room is on the fourth floor of the school.
Access to the beautiful indoor pool.
Food is provided (Lunch and Dinner). Workawayers can feel free to cook their Breakfast. Kitchen is equipped with everything needed to cook.
Access to washing machine and whatever available at school.
Danang is now drawing in its own tourists to gawk at natural beauty and historical remnants. Here are 10 must-visit attractions.
• The Golden Bridge Hands
The bridge offers breathtaking panoramic views of the valley below as well as the rolling Tru?ng Son mountains. This architectural marvel is suspended nearly 4,600 feet above sea level and was built to entice more tourists into Danang’s Bà Nà Hills. Mission definitely accomplished.
• Son Trà Mountain
This mountain at the north end of Danang’s My Khe beach is nicknamed Monkey Mountain for the rare species of monkey that dwells inside the dense forests.
• Ba Na Hills SunWorld
This fairtytale-like hill station is modeled on an old European city complete with castles, cobblestone streets, and beautiful courtyards. The complex also features Buddhist statues and temples built for entertainment only, which makes for a quirky combination of old East and West.
• The Marble Mountains
The Marble Mountains are a cluster of five mountains named after the earth’s elements: Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire) and Tho (earth). The mountain accessible to tourists is Thuy, where a labyrinth of caves and passageways await exploration.
• Museum of Cham Sculpture
Danang’s Museum of Cham Sculpture houses the world’s most extensive collection of ancient Cham relics. Champa was an ancient kingdom that flourished in southern Vietnam beginning in the 4th century.
• My Khe Beach
The most popular beach in Danang is also one of the cleanest and most beautiful. Clear waters lap the shore of a white-sand beach that is framed by picturesque mountains and dotted with umbrellas and chairs.
• My Son Sanctuary
Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the M? Son Holy Site hosts the abandoned ruins of Vietnam’s ancient Champa civilization that once occupied southern Vietnam. M? Son depicts intricate carvings of various Hindu gods and makes an informative, fascinating day trip.
• Dragon Bridge
One of Danang’s most iconic symbols, this intricately designed bridge depicts a fire-breathing dragon heading toward the East Sea. The bridge is best seen during a walk alongside the river after the sun sets as the bridge gradually changes colour every few minutes
• Linh Ung Pagoda
While frolicking in the clear waters of My Khe beach, you might notice a gigantic white statue nestled in the mountain at the far end of the beach. It is the stunning 67-meter tall Lady Buddha majestically looking out over Da Nang Bay. Legend says the Lady Buddha provides protection to fishermen who venture out into rough seas and provides them safe passage.
