This is a beautiful old Scottish house nestled in the woods to the south of the island of Gigha. I run it myself (but kept company by Luna the springador!) as a B&B and like to run any kind of retreat - especially singing and music - as its a tranquil spot which has a soothing energy.Retreats on hold due to Covid and B&B much reduced. I am about to do a house renovation and need help getting organised for that as well as help in creating growing spaces and regenerating woodland.

I moved here in January 2019 and then broke my leg! So am a little behind on all sorts of outside projects. I am setting up an organic veg garden, want to clear land to plant fruit trees, clear space for a self catering pod, clear overgrown trees, and create a forest garden. Oh and wood chopping. Much wood needing processed.
Inside jobs include some painting.

It would be great to have some help and energy and ideas from volunteers. I will cook yummy food and I do also play music. So bring an instrument as its great to play with others.

I will have accommodation in a comfy and cosy caravan in my back garden which you can have to yourself or if I am not busy have spare rooms in the house itself. We can see what mutually suits.

I am looking for folks anytime and am completely flexible about how long people stay. So if you fancy a short stop over that's OK. Every little bit helps.

Gigha is the most southerly hebridean island. We have a small population of 160, one pub, one shop, two restaurants (at the moment as its still summer) and amazing ecology and landscape.

COVID - 19 update. The island is covid free and we want it to stay that way! This does not stop you coming. But you would need to isolate from other community members for 7 days after arrival (which is not that tough!) and please do not come if you have been unwell in last month. Thanks!
