Hi, I am Sharom, I'm living in Malacca with my wife and 2 teenage children. I am also a retired government servant.
I love travelling and I would be very happy to share my country and culture to friends all around the world.

I have a guesthouse managed by myself and my lovely wife. It is located at Kota Laksamana, MALACCA Historical City town. It is a terrace house, located in a quiet housing area with stores and restaurants (some of the famous ones are just right around here) within 1 to 5 minutes walking distance from the city centre and the river walk. Feel free to make yourself at home here! Malacca is a cycling-friendly town. You are free to use one of the bikes in the guesthouse to ride around Malacca and explore. If I have time, I'll bring and show you around what's best and fun in Malacca - enjoying it in the authentically local way!

We have a worker who takes care of the general cleaning once per week and then it is me and my wife who are with the control of administrative tasks and the check in and out of our guest. We are looking for someone who is friendly and with sense of responsibility to help us out on this administrative side and also doing some general cleaning and housekeeping (here and if is needed in some of my other guesthouses).

A bed in our dormitory room and sometimes could have a single fan room if available.

You will be provided simple breakfast like oats, coffee & tea, bread.

Work Hours
You will do around 3 hours work per day

You have this opportunity to get to know the locals around here and understand more about Malaysia and South East Asia culture. You can know more about Malacca town's history, as this is where Malaya/Malaysia "started". You can also use this opportunity to learn some Bahasa Melayu if you're interested. Malacca town is also a place full with travelers around the world, this is a good chance for you to know friends around the world! We're only less than 10 minutes walk away from the heart of Malacca town, where all the famous spots such as Red Square, Jonker street, riverwalk, St. Francis Xavier church, St. Paul church, Maritime museum, etc etc. You are basically living in a place with holiday+historical vibes!
