We have been fully organic since 1988, running a mixed organic farm on 104 acres. For the last 20 years we have been operating an organic fruit and vegetable box scheme - currently delivering around 150 boxes every week to families in the Truro/Falmouth area. We produce high quality organic produce (for which we have won awards) to sell locally at affordable prices, and also supply local hotels and restaurants. There is a farm shop on site and we are currently developing the range of products we offer.

We grow over 60 varieties of vegetables on 30 acres of cultivated land and have 9 Polytunnels to extend our range and growing season. We keep a herd of 30 Aberdeen Angus Cattle who graze on 50 acres of grass and forage. There are also 5 flocks of laying chickens on site for our organic eggs (300 free-range hens). We raise our own hens and meat birds. There are also bees on the farm. We are currently setting up our own hives and learning how to care for them.

As well as the vegetable crops we have a mixed fruit orchard with trees of varying ages. Each year we press our own apples to make our own brand of apple juice. There is a large soft fruit area with raspberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants & gooseberries. With the help of our volunteers we produce a wide range of jams, chutneys and other preserves.

Our volunteers get involved in every stage of the cropping - from seed to harvest - as well as working with all the livestock and fruit trees. You will be involved in our pack house helping us with the box scheme as well as wide variety of other tasks including repairing ancient stone hedges, collecting wood & renovating barns.

We have renewable energy on site in the form of photovoltaic panels, solar thermal hot water, wood burners and bio-diesel production for our tractors and delivery vans. Managing the farm sustainably is very important to us.

We have some very comfortable accommodation on site for our helpers who all share the use of a well equipped professional kitchen in our newly built pack house as well as other communal living areas. There can be up to 10 volunteers here during the busy summer season which gives the farm a lovely community feel. Everyone shares in cooking and cleaning duties - and we eat very well as a result.

We are looking for skilled and unskilled but enthusiastic help all year round. Longer term stays are welcomed - the longer you stay the greater variety of things you'll have a chance to learn and the more useful you become to us! We have been WWOOF hosts for many years and often receive people from all over the world (particularly France due to Greg's excellent French). In return for your food and accommodation we ask for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week (normally Monday to Friday, 8am - 1pm) with two days off each week. This gives you lots of free time to use as you wish and explore Cornwall - though a lot of our volunteers enjoy themselves so much here that they choose to get involved more in the afternoons and weekends!

The farm is situated in a beautiful Cornish valley, just 5 miles from the North and South coasts of Cornwall. There are so many fabulous beaches to explore within easy travelling distance. Local pub in the village and near coast/coast cycle trail for your days off!

Please check out our website for more information on the farm.

Looking forward to hearing from, meeting you and working with you.
