Wow another year on the farm has started..Happy 2019!

We are currently accepting more helpers for our season.

I welcome you to come enjoy some of this summer on beautiful lower Vancouver Island with us!

I love organic farming and have enjoyed the many trials and tribulations of the farming lifestyle and entrepreneurial reality of self-employment since 1999. We enjoy eating amazing food and working diligently in the great outdoors everyday. We are a busy, athletic and adventuresome family living as sustainably as we are capable of.

We provide rustic accommodations for three seasons of the year in a trailer or van and welcome helpxers to bring their own tents. We have an outdoor basic kitchen, shower and outhouse for our guests' use. We provide yummy food for your cooking pleasure and request that our helpers create their own breakfast and most dinners while we tend to create an enjoyable lunch together.

Two week farm stays minimum are wonderful but as always, depending on the great life of being human this can vary from one week to months!

We request 5 hr of work/weekday and if you should choose to stay on the weekends a few hrs/weekend. You are certainly welcome to go enjoy the area by taking the weekend off away from the farm.

People that enjoy this setting are those that appreciate working both on their own and collectively. The number of helpers on the farms varies week to week. If you are a person that requires a busy social environment and many people this may not be the placement for you as this is a large and serene property that is a little more isolated than some of the other farms.

We live on 165 acres of West Coast wonderment on the ocean and close to an incredible East Sooke park system. We are truly one of the few farms making farming happen in the rainforest. This adventure will show you that food can be grown in a variety of ways pretty much anywhere!!

Bus #61 provides frequent travel from Victoria towards Sooke and we ask that our guests get off at the 17 Mile Pub and either meet up with the #64 bus to our area or plan ahead to be picked up at the pub. If you have your own vehicle that is a huge benefit!

Come and get dirty and grow food with us!

We look forward to meeting you and welcome your unique contribution to our farm space!

The best to you all in your travels and adventures
