Spend a Holiday with us on our farm, and learn how to live of your own land!
We are a Family of 5. Our son Dominik works at Sea or with us on the farm. Our daughter Mara lives on fhe farm with her 3 year old son Kaemon and our 21 year old son Joshua is traveling australia at present
We live on our small oasis of piece and nature close to the charming Village Sneem on the Ring of Kerry, on the north side of the Kenmare Bay.
We started our little homestead 20 Years ago. We have a dairy cow, pigs, poultry, bees, a large fruit orchard, a blueberry field, and a vegetable tunnel. The farm is managed with values for nature, beauty and harmony. Produce is largely for home use only, even so we started selling fruit last year as our blueberry crop was overwhelming.
We offer 3h farm tours for groups/families, showing them the animals, how to make butter and scones and candles. We also run courses in blacksmithing, cheese making and woodturning.

We are looking for volunteers that are happy to engage in all different areas of work around the farm, kitchen and with the "farm tours" we offer;
Volunteers who want to stay on our farm because they are interested in this lifestyle. Its a lot of work to prepare the place for the summer, and to get the farm visits and courses ready and through. We really can do with a lot of help. Living our life style, automatically results in long days. Some of that will be exhausting physical work, some will be repetitive like picking berries, some things you might just lend a hand or learn new skills. Work is never regular or 9-5 sort of a thing, particular given the Irish weather. We offer you to join in as one of us with all the fun, work and pleasure we have around here . In return we offer free food and comfortable accommodation. You can learn how to hand milk, learn how to make cheese and butter, bake bread, and lots of stuff in the garden or with the animals on the farm. We will try to make your stay most enjoyable and will make sure you get to experience the surrounding too.
If you like to learn how to live of the land and produce a lot of your food your self, experience an environment in harmony with nature and how to live different, or to make things yourself, that others have to buy, then spend some time with us.
If you want to find out more about us, check out our website.

The pictures below (12th March 2011) shows the poly-tunnel, that we are just getting ready for this season. New gravel between the beds is nearly finished and the first seeds will soon be sprouting. The chicken/duck house has been renovated and in the sink you can see the little gosling that doesn't leaves our site.
The first picture is from the pond below our house, then the barn and the Garden in Spring three years ago. This year the main garden is not dugg jet, but we have a weed-suppressing membrane over it which hopefully will make the digging easy this time round. You can see more picture if you visit our Facebook page.
