Hi my name is Toni and I live and work in my own plant nursery in Kalbarri.

Kalbarri is a small town of 1700 people situated at the mouth of the Murchison River on the beautiful Indian Ocean coastline. The natural scenery here is spectacular!

Kalbarri is around 600km north of Perth, 170km north of Geraldton and around 445km south of Carnarvon.

The Bent Spade Nursery is just 1.2km from the town centre of Kalbarri so is in easy reach of all the local amenities which includes supermarket, pubs, souvenir shops etc.

I am looking for one helper fluent in English who can help me around the nursery and the house for around 4 + hours a day in exchange for wonderful food and comfortable accommodation. Skilled and motivated helpers will be highly appreciated. Unfortunately I cannot host couples.

I try and keep a relaxed atmosphere and can be quite flexible about working hours if a helper would like to spend part of the day visiting local sights. Work will be a variety of jobs around the garden, in the nursery as well as a little housework. I welcome anyone that will help with the cooking but apologise that I can't stretch to host vegetarians.

On the property I have chickens, a pond full of goldfish and guppies and plenty of native birds visiting. The property backs onto the bush so kangaroos can be seen hopping around before the sun sets. I grow a lot of vegetables and have a myriad of fruit trees including mangoes, lemons, oranges, passionfruit and olives.

In their free time helpers have a range of places to see and things to do. The Kalbarri Natural Park is a must with the famous ‘Nature’s Window’ and there is a 9km gorge-walk for keen hikers. There are picturesque and rugged coastlines and for keen surfers Jacques point is a renowned break when the swell is up. Blue Holes is a great snorkelling spot and for the fisherman there is a huge choice of spots and fish to catch.

I look forward to hearing from suitable helpxers.
Safe travels, always, Toni.
