Hi there

We are Theofanis and Katerina and since 2011 we are working to create a sustainable farm, focusing on growing food, breeding some animals using energy from renewable sources and building the infrastructure with natural materials and environmental friendly methods where possible.

Ag. Dimitrios is a small and very beautiful village on the coast of the north Gulf between Evoia and central Greece. It is a quiet place, ideal for living close to nature.
At winter time, the population is about 12 persons though this changes during the summer time.

The rest area of the farm is right on the sea, so in the summer months you can jump in anytime!

Help is usually required for 5 hours per day and the variety of work allows the distribution of work, most of the time, according to each person's preferences and abilities. Work may become a little tiring for someone who is not used to farm life (though heavy work is not given to helpers) so, if there are any health issues please let me know so we can work something out.

Accommodation and food

The accommodation offered on the farm is a cob house and a small prefabricated house for the summer months and a room in the house or a caravan next to it for the winter time. There is a compost toilet and a shower suitable for the summer months. Laundry facilities and warm showers for the cold seasons are available at the house which is located within 3 minutes walking distance from the farm.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided. Cooking is something that we share. Alcohol is not provided on a regular basis, though on some occasions we enjoy some nice tsipouro and wine.

What is expected from helpers:

We like friendly and pleasant people with a true interest in farm life, independently of whether they have any previous experience. We expect that helpers try to be tidy so that there isn't any unnecessary extra work created.

What we offer is to experience the way of living in a small farm/village which is more authentic in the autumn and winter time and more over, the opportunity to combine vacations with helping and spend some of your time on some interesting work-activities.

Please note that we like helpers to stay for at least two weeks :)

More details can be given upon request, so
feel free to ask any questions and/or you can visit the Facebook page for a closer look on whats going on here.

Looking forward to hear from you!
