VACANCY from April 2019.

Happy New Year HelpX travellers.

We are a Mum, Dad and 13 year old (as of 2 days ago). We are looking for a mature couple or 2 / 3 travellers to join us on our beautiful farm. We are situated about 45 mins west of Brisbane CBD, on 88 acres in Cedar Creek, about 15 mins from the nearest shops in Samford. Our property in nestled in a small valley of tress, creeks, birds, butterflies, creeks and peaceful breezes.

We are looking for experienced organic / gardeners / landscape persons to work for us for a mix of helping and cash in hand work. 1 day (* hours) is in return for free Accomodation. We are flexible and can offer free board and food for 4 hours work / day. OR ... if you are after cash as well we can offer free accomodation in return for 1 x 8 hour day working for us, then we would be happy to pay cash for 6 - 8 hours work / day at $15 - 20 per hour. I would let you know what we are willing to pay after a day or 2 trial and it would depend on your experience, ability to work unsupervised, prior knowledge and skills.

We have jobs including landscaping, building some gardens, land care such as weeding / pruning / planting trees / mowing / whipper snipping and mulching. We also require repairing fences, completing our Chook pen.

ACCOMODATION - 100 metres from our home in a Neat, tidy self contained cute Caravan in a sheltered Shed as big as a house itself and complete with toilet / shower / basic cooking facilities (Microwave, toasted sandwich maker, small oven).

MEALS - happy to negotiate above suggestions. Either look after yourself with your own meals if you want cash in hand or we supply all food in exchange for 28 hours a week working for us. We love to share a meal or 2 as well so we can enjoy getting to share time with our back packers too.

ENGLISH - Must be able to speak reasonable English.

TRANSPORT - Having your own Car is Ideal. If not though we can collect from the local train station AT A PRE ARRANGED time. Please do not arrange for us to collect at a certain time - we will prefer to work out a time that suits us both. We wont be able to collect from the airport either sorry, so find your way into Brisbane CBD and we can arrange something from there.

US - We are a busy family of Mum, Dad and teenager with several animals (Sammy the dog, several cows, a horse, alpacas, a chook and rooster). We are NON - SMOKERS and family type people. I work as a Nurse and my husband works as a plant technician. Our 13 year old is full of creative ideas, a love of animals, in particular her horse, music, art and cooking.

Our farms suits persons who can work independently; are interested in environmental, land and tree care; who learn quickly; who love nature, birds and exploring the bush. Values important to us are being kind, tolerant of all people, an enjoyment of different cultures and travelling!!

If you want to make an enquiry please send some info about your self, your skills and prior work experience and any referees thanks.

TO START WITH we like to trial 3 days before confirming to a 2 - 4 week stay to see how we fit together. We are flexible though.

This is largely Cash in Hand opportunity for an Experienced Gardener / Builder to be part of our family for a little while.

Love to hear from you soon.

Col and Jenny
