We are looking for volunteers/Helpers/sponsors for our new P.E.A.C.E program. If interested to take part in this, drop us an email. We appreciate

We are an organization that is operating alongside the community and initiating development projects to eradicate poverty and care for less fortunate kids in the Ndeiya community and other surrounding areas outside of Nairobi.

Our mission is to give youth in Kenya the needed knowledge and abilities that are necessary for their development into happy, healthy and compassionate adults that can be a part of the solution to creating a Kenya that is peaceful, prosperous and adheres to a higher purpose. Our program aligns with and supports projects like the ONE Campaign and UNICEF`s goals for world development. Together we can help them learn and grow in an atmosphere of love, respect and hope.

This International community was initiated in the year 2009 and has completed several initiatives.(i.e poultry rearing in one of our homes , a dairy farming project initiated in Ndeiya, tree planting, offering free education to the vulnerable kids, organizing a sports group for young stars just to name a few).
After analyzing our past programs, research and team discussion, we have decided to revamp the programs we carry out in the community as we create a more effective, cost efficient and impactful vision here. We now organize and carry out weekly programs that center around active play, sportsmanship, citizenship, health, and personal as well as community enhancement through the teaching of applicable, real-world skills and knowledge. We provide experiences for youth and adults in the community as well as volunteers from around the globe that will promote the development of self-sufficient, vibrant and compassionate communities throughout Kenya and the world at large.

Our mission is to promote and develop available, affordable, sustainable and manageable change in the areas of critical knowledge acquisition and information sharing, health, life skills and vocational development. Also, we value creating a learning environment that values personal and community growth along with a deep love and respect for all others of different color, creed and country. Many of our community volunteer projects are focused on improving the lives of displaced children and youths through sharing information about healthcare, providing academic and life-skills education as well as developing a life long learner mentality and a sense of compassion for one`s self, community and world.

Now, to give you an idea of what your experience will be like, let me inform you that many international organizations throughout Africa have very high volunteer costs, which makes it hard for most people to get involved. Our goal is to keep volunteer costs low in the hopes to attract more international volunteers to Muungano Community International and to Kenya. Additionally by keeping our organization costs low we can put more resources (like healthy snacks, sports equipment, teaching materials and covering volunteer accommodation costs) into the weekly programs we have and will help us reach more communities in need in Kenya.

We have a flexible schedule and are willing whatever it takes to accommodate any type of support or volunteering you are able to offer. Also, we try as much as possible to organize safaris for the volunteers, where they can see our beautiful animals and connecting with mother nature! These are organized safaris where we have qualified personnel to make your visit a remarkable lifetime experience as you explore our interesting and fascinating recreational sites, like touring Lake Victoria, Mount Kenya, the Great Rift Valley, and visiting Masai Mara National Park as well as Naivasha. These experiences are each a captivating spectacle in their own right, and they are worth a visit. We have provided the link to the tourist company that we partner with. It is noteworthy that the trust we have in Heir adventures and Safaris is due to the fact that it is an affiliation of Muungano Community International

Comfortable accommodation is available for up to 8 people at our volunteer houses in Ndeiya and Naivasha. we would be happy to welcome you to our family and provide you with a truly Kenyan experience involving volunteering, tourism, and cultural exchange. Currently, we do not receive donations or consistent financial support from any government, company or organization. This means that, our volunteers will be required to donate a fee towards sustaining the programs.
