Our Ranch is located in the Cherry Creek Valley of Southwest Colorado. 480 acres of terrains varying from valleys and live streams to steep inclines of ponderosa pines. In the valley, around the buildings we have berries, rhubarb, perennial herbs, small orchard and root crop garden. Across the way is our hemp farm, which will be one of our most important and viable crops this year The soil is great here although our growing season is short. Crops like tomatoes that need a longer season are grown on property in Red Mesa, 15 miles from the ranch. We are offering an opportunity to experience off-the-grid country living for a few motivated individuals. Families, couples, and young adults with all skill levels will be considered. Priority will be given to individuals who are highly motivated self-starters with integrity. Please submit a description of yourself, including your past experiences with other stays and agricultural life, and previous occupations. Additionally, please share with us why you are interested in a farm stay. What motivates you to learn about off-the-grid living?

A farmstay here would include meals, some of which will be shared with the host and other workers or guests. We will discuss specifics on a case by case arrangement. Your living quarters will vary depending on the length of your stay, season of year, size of your party, and your own accommodations (do you have a tent/RV/camper?). Work projects and chore lists will be worked out daily for each individual, depending on skills and abilities. We want you to have a positive experience while you're here.

Projects this Spring (2019) will include transplanting trees, completing a root cellar, composting, gardening, landscaping, grounds maintenance, mowing, fencing, carpentry, and other miscellaneous endeavors.

Your experience here depends upon your participation level - work ethics, what your skill levels are, and what you would like to learn. Although food and living arrangements will be provided, this is not a hand-out situation. Please contact if you are looking to learn new skills or use skills you have to help teach others.
