In my house we always speak English, but a basic knowledge of Spanish would be useful in order to be able to interact with the locals (non-Spanish speakers are as rare as henīs teeth in these parts!)

You would have your own room with double bed in my house (I have wi-fi). The area is more suited to walkers / nature-lovers / explorers than night-clubbers!

The wine estate is based in the province of Zamora, on the border with Portugal in the Arribes national park. It is made up of 6 hectares of certififed organic vineyard, from which is produced a red and white wine. I also work with biodynamic agriculture. In addition to this I have olive trees, almonds and a selection of fruit trees.

No previous experience is necessary - I am happy to explain all the different processes, although anyone wanting to drive the tractor will need a full driving license.

There is general maintenance work as well during the winter rebuilding dry stone walls, so anyone with experience in this area would be welcome. Cellar work is continuous throughout the year.

We work from 9 til 2 Monday to Friday most of the year. When it gets hot we tend to start and finish earlier. There is plenty of free time for exploring the region in the afternoons and at the weekend. In return I am offering accommodation (own room with double bed) and full board (home cooking). Anyone interested would have to be comfortable with children, dogs, cats and turtles.

The house is situated on the outskirts of Fermoselle, a beautiful old frontier town of around 1500 inhabitants, but the main attraction is the striking countryside, the Duero and Tormes river canyons and the wide variety of rare birdlife. It is a paradise for anyone interested in walking and bird-spotting.
