We are a volunteer driven project working with creating solutions for a sustainable society; incorporating energy and recycling as well as social/economic structures. We aim to make such solutions practical and scalable for application from Copenhagen to Cambodia, on land as well as on the sea.

What's Happening Right Now?
We are working on various artistic and technical projects, improving the comfort on the boats, making fun community activities to bring everyone closer together.

We welcome volunteers of all skill levels and ambition. If you have specialised skills (as an electrician, plumber, carpenter, or engineer), we would be excited to welcome you. However, its not the only condition.

Our Goals:
Our daily work is primarily concentrated around building ships out of recycled/organic materials to form a "Floating Course Center"

This will be a travelling platform for skill-sharing, and work as inspiration for sustainable structures and alternative organic design.

The project will be composed of three medium sized floats. The floats will provide all basic facilities to accommodate a course group in the range of 10 - 30 people. This will include: Kitchen, dining, flexible sleeping spaces, basic workshop, cinema, computers / office, meeting room, flexible activity rooms and toilet.
The boat's energy is being created from renewable resources, namely wind and solar.

The courses can incorporate the mobility of the floats so that activities might take place while sailing or at different locations.

How far are we?
Our first large catamaran is almost finished, it has been in the water since October 2010.
Catamaran two has been in the water since June 2015. We will be doing further work on the heating, electricity and propulsion systems.
On top of that we have an old boat that needs a loving hand and two small floats, one for service and one with a small sauna (to sweat out the stress).

Catamaran 2 building:
We have come to the point where we have started insulating the tanks and building interior to make useful cabins. We will be working as a group 4 days a week. It will be a big plus if you have previous experience working with metal and/or wood.

By empowering people with all sorts of skills, we hope to break employee mentality. We want people to take responsibility for their own life, not blindly following governments, employers and social structures. We are working towards a spirit of D.I.T. - DO IT TOGETHER. We really appreciate the company of those who can share their unique skills, experience and knowledge.

We have a policy of no alcohol or drugs.

We have open work days on Saturday at 12:00pm where anybody can join without giving prior notice.

Stuff that you are more than welcome to come and work on:
* Plumbing, wiring and construction in the new warehouse!
* Insulating and building rooms on the catamarans.
* Updating web page. Blogging.
* Repairing /maintaining diesel motors.
* Building wind mills, solar cells, etc.
* Fund raising for projects.
* Working with electric motors for propulsion.
* Painting/decoration.
* Making the floating greenhouse beautiful. (Designing and programming a smart heating system.)

Special areas:
* Electronics engineering: Step-up power converters for use with 12V batteries to power all sorts of devices. Preferably built using recycled components.
* Mechanical / electrical engineering: Powerful electric boat motor. Maybe something made up of old industrial motors, lead-acid batteries, and creative thinking.
* Carpentry and general construction for rooms in the new warehouse and catamarans.
* Motivated people with PR experience for the varied social events we are involved in.

Hopefully work and play will melt together. We focus on having working days together, and doing things just for fun as well.
We eat and cook together 3 times a day, except for days off. There is always enough food to go around!

Your role:
You can learn A LOT from being here, but it doesn't come by itself. You will have to ask questions and encourage skill sharing yourself. Gain knowledge and share it with others. We are building a movement!

Please don't come here because you are interested in Copenhagen.
You can't be picky about hygiene / cleanliness. But please work for a clean space.
DON'T leave messes for others.
It is a very communal project so don't expect to be by yourself all the time.
The project has its roots in the punk/anarchist environment of Copenhagen, and we expect people to have a radical desire to change the world.
Our food is dumpster dived or saved before it's thrown away (we eat like kings ;)
In Winter it can get cold. We have blankets and lots of spare clothes but be prepared as you can!

Further info:
Please write us. We hope to get back to you within 1-2 weeks.
