Help at an animal rescue centre in Northern Peru.
My name is Rosemary, the founder of an animal rescue center running a veterinarian clinic. We treat all animals, but have a specialty in spaying and neutering cats and dogs .
Our animals here in Northern Peru need a great deal of help.
> You are genuinely passionate about animals;
> looking for a fulfilling experience;
> wishing to give of yourself;
> wanting to leave your footprint by making this a better world for animals;
> enjoy interacting and sharing hands-on experiences with our small group of dedicated people;
Then this opportunity might be for you.
We are located in Colan, a beach town in Northern Peru. The association is 100m from the beach, from which beautiful sunsets can be seen.
We are looking for autonomous, friendly people who can pitch in whole-heartedly. People who can bring ideas to us from different backgrounds and most importantly people who should be passionate about animals and want to take care of them.
We prefer people who can stay for at least two weeks to a month.
Volunteer hours expected:
20 hours per week
Help with computers / internet
We are looking for volunteers to help us with creative art projects; mosaicing; walking dogs on the beach; feeding and watering animals; cleaning pet enclosures; assisting vets; helping in the gardens; and general maintenance work.
You will typically help us Monday to Friday from 7am till 11am, with 1 hour in between for breakfast.
Type of accommodation:
As we are a charity association, we do not receive any income. Therefore we have to kindly ask you to contribute towards your stay.
Cost per week stay: S/ 350.00;
Included in the price: 3 basic meals a day (Monday to Friday). Breakfast ONLY on Saturdays and Sundays.
Not included in the price: Alcohol, sodas, bottled water.
No access to kitchen. Hot water showers only available in winter months (most people are happy with cool water showers due to hot climate).
Just a reminder that this is an animal shelter, NOT a resort. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions you may have.
we really enjoy having volunteers and the animals of course benefit from your stay.
