At the moment we would love some help! Steve has a bad shoulder and we have lots of fencing, wooding and general hard work to be done. We now have a caravan with kitchen. If you're up for some hard work please get in touch :)

We are situated on the southern slopes of the hills 10km south of Villaviciosa on the coast of Asturias. Just 2km from Villaviciosa is Rodilles, a beach internationally renowned for its surfing. We are within half hour travelling distance to Oviedo and the port town of Gijon. There fantastic opportunities for walking, climbing and cycling and the Picos de Europa can be reached within 40 minutes.

We are a small-holding in the making and are looking for help to set up our off grid living and farming project. We need help with horticulture, construction, woodland management, animal husbandry, fencing etc. We are also planning to lime render our straw bale house as soon as we have some help. Any skills in these fields are very welcome but not essential as long as your willing and able.

We are looking for a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week, for which we suggest 5 hrs per day with 2 days off. However we are flexible so we are happy to consider other patterns if they work for us. We provide you with the ingredients and you generally cook your own meals although when we have the time and energy we will cook a nice lunch after work. We ask that you bring appropriate work clothes and shoes/boots and a pair of work gloves: remember there may be heavy and dirty work and it does rain here in Asturias.
We look forward to hearing from you. Liz & Steve.
