Small property in the bush near the beach, in Margaret River, alternative building and renovating, solar powered, vegetable growing and fruit trees, friendly family with pet dog. Happy for visitors to join us in work, social, and recreation life...Mixed diet, largely organic & vego, with options to eat local sustainable food from the farmer's market & other local garden swaps. Enjoy walks in the bush, surfing, visiting farmers markets and collecting things to renovate or for art projects. Debbie and David and Indy in house/studio or at uni, sometimes away in Perth, tenants nearby in studio on the property, we enjoy visitors and travellers and including them in our activities if they wish. Enjoy working and sharing tasks around the property. Jobs under way include painting, cleaning, gardening, preserving food, cooking, building, weeding, fruit picking etc. Caravan is supplied for helpX visitors, with access to a camp kitchen, as well as shared meals with the family. No smoking around the property due to fire risk. Work is 5hrs/day, PLUS we all share the housework/meal prep etc. If you want 2nd visa, we can sign off your form, as per visa requirements. Mobile phone reception poor here, and no wifi (telstra booster in the house if this works for you) - we are in a blackspot between town and the coast for IT, but local cafes have wifi you can use if you buy a coffee! - or you can enjoy nature and take a break from devices! As we travel our of range a bit with our work, our responses to helpx emails may be a bit delayed - bear with us! Or call the mobile no listed.
Current Projects include paving verandahs around house, pruning and netting fruit trees, building new wicking beds for veggie gardens using recycled water, and weeding...and as the season moves on, picking and preserving summer fruit and veggies.
