* We can now offer longer stays (potentially for several weeks) in our Tiny House. Particularly interested in helpers with good carpentry, landscaping and gardening skills *

We live on a small farm just 10 minutes from the centre of Canberra, Australia's capital city. We are looking for a friendly young couple, or a single traveller, who can help us with jobs around our farm, house and garden.
We (Pat and Emma) have two boys (8 and 11) and have taken over the old family farm in recent years. While we have day jobs we are keen to make the most of our property, and we are looking to establish some more self-sufficient systems so all help is welcome!
Our house is heritage-listed and sprawling, with lovely gardens and verandahs, a tennis court and swimming pool. There's lots to do in Canberra, with bush walks, museums and galleries, great cycle network, cafes and restaurants, parks. Itís three hours from Sydney by road and two hours to the South Coast.

We offer two accommodation options:
1) our brand new off-grid Tiny House, complete with loft bedroom, en-suite bathroom and kitchen. Free wifi is available at the homestead/main house for your use. It is approx. an eight-minute walk, or 2 minute drive, from the Tiny House to the Homestead.
2) a bedroom with QS bed at the homestead. You will share a bathroom with the boys. Free wifi. Shorter stayers will be housed here.

Likely jobs to include (at all times of the year): gardening; clearing out sheds; weed spraying; house cleaning; cooking; moving furniture and storage items; chopping and stacking wood, digging, painting and other assorted jobs.

In return for four hours of help each day we will provide accommodation and food. If you are staying at the tiny house, you may choose to self-cater and work shorter hours (ie two hours for accommodation, no food provided).

Good English language skills are essential to communicate sometimes complex instructions. Helpers with their own car preferred but not essential. Non smokers also preferred.
