Need help ASAP! Looking for a couple (or single person) who is/are hard-working and willing to accept the challenge of living a sustainable life in an ever increasing time of challenges. You should be capable of creative problem solving and enjoy 'thinking outside the box'. We need people who are willing to make a long-term commitment (at least 3 months and longer if possible). I am in the process of establishing a farm-based business and would LOVE to have someone join me in this endeavor who totally loves growing and making things. We are a sustainable organic farm, encompassing a wide variety of animals and crops. We try to live a relatively basic lifestyle and maintain as small a carbon footprint as possible. We raise chickens, turkeys, ducks, and llamas. All of our interns are given 'personal space', and altho the work can be hard, dirty, and smelly, everyone is treated with respect and allowed their personal time when tasks are completed. Breakfast and dinner are "family style' 5 days a week and preferably a shared responsibility. Lunch food is provided and weekends interns are expected to fix their own meals - food being provided. We do eat primarily what we grow. The area is beautiful and offers many recreational opportunities year round. Longer term stays are encouraged and we are not able to offer any kind of stipend, but do allow for time to work off premises if needed. There is also a 'tiny house' for a more permanent resident.
