We need 1 male helper for the month of July, August, September and possibly Octoberfor a minimum stay of about 1 month.
Helpers will have plenty of free time to explore the local area and Ireland.
Experience in similar work is preferred..
A conversational knowledge of English is required.
Help is required in a Townhouse with 3/4 bedrooms for Tourist Accommodation.
We are on the South Coast of Ireland, in the popular unique Historic Town of Kinsale.
We are about 5 - 10 minutes walk from the Town Centre.
This is a cultural exchange.
In exchange for approximately 15 hours help per week ( flexible hours ), you receive free accommodation which includes electricity, heating, LIGHT COOKING ( there is no oven for baking etc ), hot water, bed linens and towels. etc.
WE DO NOT PAY A SALARY.
You buy and prepare your own food of choice, but we do provide basic store cupboard ingredients.
In the mornings you do house cleaning, changing bed linens etc, and sometimes odd jobs, painting etc.
There are no facilities for personal laundry, but there are self service inexpensive washing/drying machines nearby in the town.
Hand washing is not permitted.
There is Free WIFI.
You share the bedroom with 1 other male helper, bathroom, Communal kitchen and dining/sitting area. The bedroom has a bunk bed.
There is Sky Tv in the Communal Dining area.
Kinsale has interesting events all year which attract many visitors to the Town from Ireland and all over the World.
There are many leisure activities and water based sports (surfing, sailing, kayaking )etc.
There are Beautiful Landscapes and Seascapes along Coastal walks.
Charles Fort, James Fort and Desmond Castle are popular Historic places to visit.
Pubs with live Traditional Irish Music.
Restaurants, Cafes, Craft Shops.
Historical walking tours, boat trips, Ghost Tours and much more.
We are open all year.
There are very few guests during the Winter months, therefore we do maintenance work such as painting etc.
