We are proud to be a foster farm for a llama rescue organization. Our farm is a llama refuge located in the hill country of South Central Texas. Normal stays are 1 to 2 weeks. Stays for more than 2 weeks depends on availability and projects. Helpers are accepted year round. Our main focus is the care of llamas, poultry, cats, dogs and rescue of llamas. Accommodations vary with the time of year and what is available. An RV may be available. Tent camping is always available. Electricity and water available for your own camper or RV. Toilet is a humanure system or shared with the farm house.

We would like HELPX members to help in the compassionate care of animals or the repair or construction of out-buildings or maintenance of facilities and pastures. Training in driving a small tractor is possible. Time for working is 3-4 hours/day for 5 days depending on amount of meals provided.

You prepare or provide your own meals. Some meals are shared. We provide simple vegetarian ingredients such as grains, eggs, cheese, beans.

There are cats and dogs and free-range poultry here so your pet would need to be kept in a fenced area or on a leash. Well behaved dogs only.

No illegal substances or activities.
No smoking facility.
No perfumes or chemical fragrances.
Vehicle is needed to visit local attractions and for transportation.
You need to be able to lift 2 strand hay bale approximately 50lbs.
Liability waiver required.
Health insurance is recommended.
