In the heart of nature in the valley of the Rio Torrente, Cortijo Aguas Calmas borders the Sierra Nevada Natural Park. Within five minutes walk of the picturesque ´slow´ village of Niguelas, Lecrin Valley. Aguas Calmas, at an altitude of 900 metres. lies between two traditional acequias (water-courses), dating from the Arabs. Superb walking tracks lead into the mountains. The village is at the base of the third highest peak in the Iberian Peninsula, Pico de Caballo. The location is handy for Granada, beaches, Alpujarra and skiing. Great weather all year round.
The land is mostly planted with olives, also grapes, almonds, cherries, quince, pomegranate, citrus trees, persimmon and kaki.
We are Tim and Helga, Australian and Spanish.
We are looking for somebody to help with gardening and painting.
