We are a family in our 30s running a farm and 300 year old ancestral home. We are looking for a persons and/or couples to help us with lambing season, during the month of April of April. This is ideal for animal lovers seeking a time out of life experience. You will work under the guidance of our lovely farm manager John and have the opportunity to tend (and sometimes assist in the birth) our ewes as they have their lambs. Its the most interesting and rewarding time of year on a farm and previous volunteers have loved the experience.
You'll get your own room, a help yourself breakfast and Lunch and a supper each night cooked by Fred (atrained chef). Free wi fi and use of all the estate has to offer including boating. fishing, biking and golf. There is a village 1km away (with a great little pub) with a regular bus to both Cavan and monaghan which in turn have regular direct links to both Dublin and Belfast. We live in a beautiful and very authentic part of the country

If you love the great outdoors you will be very happy, we have woodpeckers, red squirrels and pine-martins. We will repay with good food and a house full of curiosities to explore as well as extensive grounds, lakes, gardens, and people that are warm and friendly. There is lots of beautiful countryside along the unspoilt border in this fascinating part of Ireland. Take a bike and explore.
